Read on to see some of our top activities and places for you to hang out with your pup in Austin!
Red Bud Isle
A short drive from our southwest Austin apartments, Red Bud Isle is the perfect place to spend a day with your pet. There are three small bodies of water surrounding the large park, where dogs can go off-leash and meet new friends. There's an open play area if your dog isn't fond of the water, and picnic tables where you can relax while taking in the beauty of the outdoors.
Does your dog love to swim? Visit Bull Creek, where your dog can play in multiple areas of water, or explore several different trails in the area. There are both off-leash areas for dogs that know how to listen to their owners as well as areas for dogs that need a leash.
Relax with your best friend at a yoga class for dogs and their owners! A certified yoga instructor leads the class, and takes you through gentle and calm yoga moves to help relieve stress and promote wellbeing. Breeds of all kinds and sizes are welcome as long as they know how to lie down and remain calm in a group setting. Take a yoga class with your dog and see how it can make your unique bond even stronger!
Barton Creek Farmer's Market
While you're out exploring the market for fresh foods and homemade products, take your dog along with you to get a little fresh air. There are even some vendors who will give dogs that go to the market a treat or two! Dogs must be on a leash, but it’s still a great social experience for dogs to meet others in the area.
Norwood Estates Dog Park
This is a fun area that has many activities for your dog to try out. There are slides and a few steps that dogs can play on to help with their joints and muscles. You can also explore nearby trails or play fetch in the large grassy field. There are also shaded areas so you can beat the heat in the summer time, as well as separate areas for small and large dogs.
